The Project

RAMOTS (Realtime Automatic Moving Object Tracking System) was a mobile automated telescope for tracking satellites and other fast-moving objects in real time. Built with the youth group of the Bodensee observatory (Teleskop-Teens-Truppe), the project started after a failed attempt to photograph the ISS and grew into a fully automated system around a 16-inch mirror, funded by the Reiff Foerderpreis.
